PASTOR'S ANNUAL REPORT FOR 2006 The Year of Our Lord 2006 was full of blessing for Westminster Presbyterian. Worship remained the hub of our life together and the driving wheel of our fellowship, education and ministry programs. As I review my date book and the church calendar from this past year I see many reminders of the fullness of our Christian life together -- from the Crab Fest to VBS, from World Day of Prayer to caroling on the boardwalk -- each penciled-in entry brings to mind beautiful times with wonderful friends. From the Crop Walk to the Buddy Walk, from Canandaigua to the Congo, people from Westminster have gotten out and shared the blessing of Christ in different ways with different people here and there. The Habitat build, the meal program for international students, our contributions to the Food Basket, our support of a number of community service organizations in terms of both finances and volunteers are examples of our discipleship. For me personally I continue to be proud to be the pastor of such a fine congregation. In 2006 I was honored to be elected to the General Assembly Nominating Committee and to the office of president of the Lewes Rehoboth Association of Churches. In addition I continue to serve on the committee for Preparation for Ministry of New Castle Presbytery. These involvements keep me (and Westminster) connected to the larger Church. I am scrupulously avoiding naming names connected with particular ministries or committee work in this space because space is limited and there are so many people who do deserve a special vote of thanks among us. All I can say is thank-you, thank-you, thank-you to everyone who has donated time, talent and treasure to make Westminster the vibrant, faithful church it is. The year of Our lord 2006 was full of blessing for Westminster Presbyterian. And 2007 will be no different because God's love and care is eternal. Grace and peace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Rev. Dr. Frank S. Deming, Jr.
